I had a bad day and I was being bomb-barded from all sides! ``Leila: That is your job to resolve. ``Yafo: Zaa, and I know that now. Therefore I would like to buy you lunch. ``Leila: Um! Okay! ``Yafo: Where would you like to go? ``Leila: Out of the Citadel. ``Yafo: Have you tried the Venerdi Hills Restaurant? ``Leila: Qaa. ``Yafo: Okay, we can go there. ``Leila: Okay. So what else has been happening? ``Yafo: I am taking all the flak over the scandals. ``Leila: There is still much going on, so keep out of it! ``Yafo: I intend to, especially as I am the new Bear. ``Leila: You have not yet been initiated, as you are still on probation. ``Yafo: Zarfs for nothing. ``Leila: It will be. Do we need to book? ``Yafo: It would be a good idea. ``Leila: All done. So what else have you been involved with? ``Yafo: I have been helping Qualla and Jota sort out the old planning problems. I have to admit it was a cleaver ploy with the Executives. ``Leila: That reminds me, I am still waiting for my commission. ``Yafo: I am sure you will get it.

``Kern: So how is it going? ``Qualla: Heavy going, and it will take months before everything is sorted out, but we are making progress. ``Kern: I still like the bit about getting the Executives light headed on the wine, that was a brilliant idea of the Girls. ``Qualla: We have found some more discrepancies, where there are part payments of an invoice, but one part goes to another bank account! ``Kern: Neat! ``Qualla: May be, but the IBA can track it down, so what do you think? ``Kern: It has to be Krans, old Elder 04. ``Qualla: If it is, then we are considering bringing him back early from Cosmos Service. ``Kern: Go for it! That has made my day, and would he go straight to Clink? ``Qualla: We are not sure of the procedure as yet, but that will be down to the Sheriff. ``Kern: That will cause an uproar, if it were to get out. ``Qualla: Only if you pass it around! ``Kern: Spoil sport. ``Qualla: If I told you more, would you keep quiet until the right time? ``Kern: I could be persuaded to, as I know where the others are! ``Qualla: So what will it take? ``Kern: You did leave me short on the transfer of ownership on this house. ``Qualla: How much? ``Kern: ¢4,500. ``Qualla: Approved. I will do it this evening. ``Kern: That is good, because I can clear off the balances.

``Kirin: Captain. I suggest that we have the engineer over again and come on a normal run with us, so he can hear the noise for himself! ``Captain: Agreed. I will leave you to arrange it. Do you think it is serious? ``Kirin: Qaa, Captain, but what is causing it has turned into a mystery. ``Captain: Any news on the decontamination unit? ``Kirin: Qaa. I can chase that to! ``Captain: Agreed.

``IBA: Thank you for your information, which has been most useful. I have managed to get some more copies of old bank accounts, by getting their old computer system running again, which was in the museum. This was before the changeover to the new standards, and I ask you to analyze them and see if you can pinpoint any other discrepancies. I would need 6 items of proof, before I could get a conviction. ``Urga: I am happy to spend a few hours, but this could take a week or more to do, and who would be able to pick up the bill? ``IBA: We will. ``Udal: Excellent. ``Urga: Approved. I will itemize everything and create a report for your appraisal, and I have sufficient to get on with for now. Especially as we have the name of the bank accounts, so we should be able to find other numbers. Therefore can we have some more statements quin? ``IBA: Certainly! I do not think it is a bank problem, so they should cooperate. ``Udal: Where shall we go for lunch? ``Urga: The Dam and if you approve Gera could come too! ``IBA Certainly. ``Udal: [Presses button on intercom] ``Gera: Zaa! ``Udal: Are you free? ``Gera: Certus. ``Udal: Lunch at the Dam, now! ``Gera: Zaa. Coming now.
